BUS2TALK: BERLIN’S ROADMAP FOR SUSTAINABLE PUBLIC TRANSPORT WITH BVG
Rolf Erfurt says “if you can’t get on with people you have no business being in senior management.“ During BUS2BUS 2024, BVG’s director of operations was a guest in the BUS2Talk podcast studio. In an interview with Totinia Hörner he reveals why he believes involving people is more important than just convincing them, why after a long day’s work he occasionally drives a bus around the BVG depot, and the reasons he sometimes gets a call at 3.20 a.m.
Rolf Erfurt runs marathons. In a tense environment where the digital transformation, the skills shortage, alternative drives and developing new operational procedures are the dominant themes, possessing endurance is a big advantage. In the second episode of BUS2Talk he talks about the opportunities of AI, semi-autonomous U-Bahn trains and the flagship projects of BVG. He also takes a look at issues of concern to him, for which he would like to offer better solutions with BVG.
A note for all non German-speaking listeners: this episode is only available in German.
