BUS2TALK: THE IMPORTANCE OF NETWORKING WITH WIM & YMN

In the podcast studio at BUS2BUS Totinia Hörner talked to Dr. Kerstin Wendt, hub manager, Women in Mobility, and Anna Filby, co-founder of the Young Mobility Network, about networking as an innovative force, operating outside comfort zones, and shaping the mobility sector.

”We want to be able to think outside the box“, says Anna Filby, who as ioki’s senior international sales & business development manager deals with mobility on demand and rural transport links. Her networking activities are voluntary, along with those of Kerstin Wendt. “We can shape the mobility sector in much more dynamic ways with dialogue“, she says.

The same applies to the Women in Mobility network, which was set up with the aim of increasing female visibility in the mobility sector, combating the skills shortage and discussing experiences and specialist topics. The network currently has over 10,000 followers on LinkedIn. ”As a voluntary activity it is gradually reaching its limits”, says Dr. Kerstin Wendt, whose main occupation is running the German branch of Synectics and who deals with passenger safety, video management and communications.

To find out why Kerstin Wendt would like to rename Women in Mobility, hear about Anna Filby’s vision of mobility for her grandmother who lives in England, and discover the tips both experts have for successful networking, listen in to the current episode of BUS2Talk.
