ROADSHOW TÜRKIYE - REVOLUTIONIZING TÜRKIYE'S TRANSPORTATION: BEYOND THE HORIZON

In the last roadshow of 2023, renowned experts from major Turkish mobility companies will share their insights and visions regarding the future of mobility in Türkiye and the world.

Dr. Büşra Buran, Head of Strategy Development Department at IETT (İstanbul Elektrik Tramvay ve Tünel), described the current situation of public transport in Istanbul, the financial and geographical challenges and the importance of partnerships and subsidies in achieving climate goals.

Egemen Akgül, Product Development Manager at Karsan, emphasized the currently underestimated importance of hydrogen as an energy carrier. "If you look at the footprint of the entire chain, hydrogen is the greener solution and therefore more suitable for our global needs," he said. In terms of price, hydrogen is currently not competitive compared to electric drives. "But I think there will be more subsidies for hydrogen in the future and more support for it," he said. Road safety is also a topic in this roadshow. Professor Mujdat Soyturk offered exciting insights into the importance of recording near misses.
