Outstanding ideas for the bus industry

In the Startup Area, young international companies will present innovative concepts for the mobility industry and deliver their pitches for the Startup Award.

On 24 and 25 April 2024, BUS2BUS will be the place to head for established bus industry companies and startups from all over the world. The trade show will provide a wide-ranging market overview with over 30 buses from various manufacturers as well as products and services from numerous suppliers. A series of fascinating formats featuring high-profile speakers representing business, politics, product development and research will examine the latest topics surrounding innovative and sustainable mobility.

Startups are driving innovation

Trade visitors can find out about the latest innovations not only from the programme, but in the show’s Startup Area as well. Bus operators and manufacturers can benefit from the new ideas being presented and get together and possibly do business with some 20 young international companies. Startups can present their groundbreaking solutions to a wide audience and exchange views with each other.

The following startups are represented at BUS2BUS 2024:

Ambilight (China) the tech company produces electrochromic products with a focus on sustainable drives and innovative design.

Coolseat (Germany) is presenting a TÜV-approved product which improves seating comfort in the long term.

Dash Dynamic (India) has developed a wireless charging technology for EVs for quicker and easier charging.

Health Pro-Tec (Austria) has developed a product for coating surfaces with a disinfectant to protect against the spread of pathogens.

HYPERCOSMIC DESIGN (Germany) provides design and development guidance and visualisation services for the automotive industry.

Imagry (Israel) markets economical and scalable technology for driverless vehicles, improving passenger satisfaction and reducing road congestion.

Moby (Germany) the cloud-based platform markets modular systems and onboard hardware which integrates existing ITCS components and enables a flexible data landscape.

My Ways (Germany) uses navigation systems to improve physically connecting with different modes of transport.

spotAR (Germany) incorporates AR audio and AI audio in dynamic city apps and provides an interactive look at destinations boosting awareness of the environment and appreciation of cultural heritage .

SYMONE (France) is presenting a bus that can carry passengers and their vehicles, taking the strain off drivers over long journeys, while making trips safer, more relaxing and significantly reducing CO2 emissions.

The Routing Company (Netherlands) is partnering with cities to build smarter and more sustainable transport infrastructures and make mobility options more reliable and accessible.

TRC (UK) supplies AI and IoT-based solutions for smart cities in order to lower costs, boost efficiency and make a positive impact on the environment, society and the economy.

TruckTower (Germany) is presenting an integrated solution for multiple-storey bus depots featuring IT optimisation and an electric charging infrastructure to lower costs and improve fire prevention.

Twiliner (Switzerland) offers sustainable overnight bus trips between European cities that feature comfortable folding bed seats and comply with European safety standards.

Veecle (Germany) has developed a vehicle software for carmakers which accelerates innovation and fosters new business models.

vJourney (Germany) provides a VR experience for people unable to travel, improving their quality of life and boosting the cognitive abilities of those suffering from neurological diseases.

WideSense (USA) provides software solutions for planning, deploying and profitably operating battery-electric bus fleets, with AI-based fleet management software and a mobility platform.

Jury and award presentation

On 24 April, as part of the programme of BUS2BUS, the Future Forum Stage will host the startups presenting their products, services and technical solutions at the BUS2Pitch, so they can draw the audience’s attention to their companies’ innovations. The presentation of the Startup Award will take place on 25 April from 4.45 to 5 p.m. A panel of experts comprising Nina Weidenauer, content manager with the startup Insider, Stefan Carsten, futurist and curator of the Future Forum, and Britta Lange-Stolle, sustainability officer at the startup Colors, will announce the startup with most innovative concept as the winner. Besides receiving the Startup Award 2024 and media attention, the winning team will also be presented with an e-bike.
